One BSF jawan martyred, seven injured in Pak’s cross border firing

Srinagar: One Border Security Force (BSF) jawan martyred while seven others sustained injuries in the cross border firing from Pakistani side on the Line of Control at Rajouri sector of Jammu on Monday.

BSF Head Constable Rai Singh succumbed to his injuries in the hospital.

“Pakistan Army resorted to unprovoked firing and shelling in Manjakot sector of Rajouri district after midnight," the senior BSF official said.

About 26 people have lost their lives including 14 security personnel since Indian Army’s surgical strike on September 29.
