NEET-JEE exam is to be held in September. Demand to postpone examination in the country has increased. Now meanwhile, the Naveen Patnaik government of Odisha has made a big announcement about the students taking the NEET-JEE exam.

The Odisha government said that it would provide free transportation and accommodation to the candidates appearing in the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) in the first week of September.

Free Transport and stay expenses:

Chief Secretary AK Tripathi has announced this. He told reporters that keeping in view the epidemic and flood situation in the state, the government will provide free transportation and accommodation facilities to the JEE candidates. The Chief Secretary said that 37,000 candidates are expected to take the exam in 26 centers spread across seven different cities of the state including Bhubaneswar and Cuttack.

The Chief Secretary said that the government has decided to relax restrictions on movement of assigned people. He said that candidates can show their admit card as a pass for traffic.

Chief Secretary AK Tripathi said that the government will provide hostels of ITI, polytechnic institutes, engineering colleges, both private and government, for the convenience of the students and there will be accommodation for the candidates. Also, the government will also provide bus facilities. He said, however, that candidates have to first inform the government about their visit to the examination centers.
