Now people can access corona testing lab in 3hours: Dr Harsh Vardhan

New Delhi: Union Health Minister Dr. Harsh Vardhan said that India has greatly increased the global epidemic covid-19 testing facilities. He said that in January, only one lab in India had covid-19 test facility, which has now reached 1370. Now a citizen can reach the lab by traveling a maximum of three hours from any place across the country.

The Union Health Minister was speaking at a virtual meeting of regional directors of South-East Asia of the World Health Organization (WHO).

Death toll is very less in India:

He said that despite the large population and less resources than developed countries, India gave a very active and multi-layered institutional response to Covid-19. This made it possible that the number of cases and mortality due to the epidemic is very low here.

India’s COVID19 case tally crosses 20-lakh mark with highest single-day spike of 62,538 cases.

The COVID19 tally rises to 20,27,075 including 6,07,384 active cases, 13,78,106 cured & 41,585 deaths.
