Union Minister for Road Transport Highways Nitin Gadkari said these things. He arrived in Manipur today to lay the foundation stone for 13 national highway projects worth about Rs 3000 crore.

Project of 316 KM long road:

He said that the completion of these projects of 316 km will change the picture of this land lock and hill lock state.

In the coming time, an amount of Rs 16623 crore will be spent on the infrastructure of 7 national highways of 874.5 km. Gadkari advised the state government that there should be no compromise with quality in road projects.

Fast track work should be done: Gadkari

The decision making process should be made transparent. Have to have a corruption-free system. Fast track decision making must be ensured.

He also said that the land acquisition work for road projects in Manipur is very slack. It needs to be expedited. Taking a dig at the state government, he said that the system should be run with poles and work related to road projects should be expedited.
