Nirbhaya Case: Capital punishment or just another "Tareekh"?

New Delhi: In Nirbhaya case, Today court will listen the side of convicts. Supreme Court rejected teh curative plea filed by convict Pawan Gupta. The Court issued fresh date for execution of death warrants. Tommorrow at 6AM convicts would be hanged.

-In the morning supreme court rejected the curative petition of Pwan and Now President Ramnath Kovind rejected Nirbhaya rape and murder convict Pawan Kumar Gupta's mercy petition.

-The Supreme Court on Monday dismissed a curative petition filed by convict Pawan Kumar Gupta who was sentenced to death in the 2012 Nirbhaya gang rape and murder case.

-A five-judge bench headed by Justice N V Ramana said that no case is made out for re-examining the conviction and the punishment of the convict.

In Nirbhaya rape and Murder case court announced the new date for hanging the convicts. On 17 Feb court gave the date of 3rd March for the punishment. Nirbhaya rape and murder case convicts tried all the process to postpone the hanging date. Patiala Court also heard the case again and after hearing they gavenew date for punishment.

‘Nirbhaya Gang Rape Case’ convicts tried to postpone the date twice. In such a situation, on the one hand, Nirbhaya’s family is in the hope of justice, on the other hand, the four convicts are constantly adopting the methods of avoiding hanging. In this case, Patiala House Court can issue a new death warrant on Monday for the punishment of Nirbhaya convicts

Nirbhaya’s Mother said convicts’ Lawyer challenged her:

“Mujrimom ke vakeel AP Singh ne mujhe aaj anguli dikha kar challenge kiya ki ye faasi ab anant kaal tak tal gayi hai (Today, the convicts AP Singh pointed fingers at me and challenged me that he will get the hangings to be postponed till eternity),” Nirbhaya’s mother when court postponed the date.

Asha Devi, Nirbhaya’s Mother said many dated came and go, but not a fixed date yet announced. Still, we will try our best and will not lose hope. Victims’ lawyer are trying to save them. They are using the lw in wrong way.

The case:

A 23-year-old physiotherapy intern who came to be known as “Nirbhaya” was gangraped and savagely assaulted on the night of December 16, 2012, in a moving bus in South Delhi. On 28 December, at 11 am, her condition was extremely critical. Till her last breath she was fighting for life but on 29th December she died.
