London: The fugitive businessman and $2 billion Punjab National Bank scam accused, Nirav Modi has been spotted walking down the streets of London, according to a media report.

A video released by the UK's newspaper showed Nirav Modi on the streets of London with a totally changed look. The accused has now put on some weight, grown handle bar moustache and long hair, according to two top sources, Nirav is also believed to have undergone plastic surgery to avoid extradition.

The Indian intelligence agencies have already provided inputs about this new disguise.

In the video, Nirav Modi is seen avoiding every question posed at him with a polite smile saying "no comment".

On February 26, the Enforcement Directorate attached properties of Nirav Modi and his associate companies to the tune of Rs 147 crore in connection with its ongoing probe into the case.

Nirav Modi and his uncle Mehul Choksi are under probe by both the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and the Enforcement Directorate. The ED filed money laundering cases against them and others on February 15 on the basis of an FIR registered by the CBI.

The ED has till date attached properties worth Rs 4,765 crore of Choksi and Nirav Modi.

The diamantaire is living in a three-bedroom £8 million luxury flat near Oxford Street, where rent is understood to be £17,000 a month. Nirav, despite of on wanted list of Interpol has been allowed to started a new diamond business and has been issued a National Insurance number number by London government.
