Wanted criminal nabbed, two cops injured in a gunfight at Nehru Place

New Delhi: A wanted criminal, Akbar, was arrested by Delhi Police near Nehru place metro station on Monday. He was nabbed after an exchange of 13 rounds of bullets in an encounter.

Two cops were also injured during the gunfight and were immediately taken to nearby hospital.

• Akbar was carrying a reward of Rs 25000 on his head.
• He was accompanied by his friend Rashid, who managed to escape.

It may be mentioned that Akbar is wanted in many cases of robbery, theft, snatching and attempt to murder.
