New Delhi: Protests are being held across the country over the gang rape in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh. Meanwhile, the National Commission for Women (NCW) has sought clarifications from several celebrities. Clarification to photograph of victim of the Hathras case being used during various protests.

The NCW has issued separate notices to BJP leader Amit Malviya. Actor Swara Bhaskar and Congress leader Digvijay Singh are also in list.

Meanwhile, the National Commission for Women (NCW) has sought clarifications from several celebrities to photograph the victim of the Hathras case being used during various protests. The NCW has issued separate notices to BJP leader Amit Malviya, actor Swara Bhaskar and Congress leader Digvijay Singh seeking clarification from them.

It has taken cognizance of the use of the photograph of the victim in the Hathras case during various protests. The NCW has issued separate notices to BJP leader Amit Malviya, Congress leader Digvijaya Singh and actress Swara Bhaskar seeking clarification on the victim's photograph.

Meanwhile, The Uttar Pradesh government’s affidavit in the Sureme Court seeks to highlight. “Role of social media, certain sections of print and electronic media along with some sections of the political parties in making a deliberate. And planned attempt to incite caste/communal riots in the state using the incident.”

The state government also said that despite its “diligent probe” into the Hathras case. “Different false narratives started gaining momentum at the behest of some vested interests”. It said it recommended a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the case to “ensure that no vested interests will be able to create a fake and false narrative with oblique motives”.
