New Delhi: The National Commission for Protection of Child Rights (NCPCR) has written a letter to Facebook instructing it to take action regarding Rahul Gandhi's Instagram post. In a letter sent to Facebook, the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights has said that Rahul Gandhi has revealed the identity of the rape victim's family in his Instagram post, which is against the provisions of the Juvenile Justice Act.

Complaint against Rahul Gandhi:

In the letter sent by the commission to Facebook, it has been said that that post should be removed from Rahul Gandhi's Instagram post immediately. Along with this, the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights should be informed about the action taken in this regard within 3 days.

Rahul Gandhi's Instagram:

Earlier, the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights has also sent a similar letter to Twitter. After which Twitter not only removed the tweet in question from Rahul Gandhi's account but also locked Rahul Gandhi's account along with it.

After Rahul Gandhi's account was locked, many Congress leaders started tweeting in support of Rahul Gandhi and after that the accounts of those leaders were also locked. At present, the Congress is attacking the government and Twitter regarding this issue, but Twitter says that it has taken this action because the tweets of other leaders including Rahul Gandhi are against its policy.

Significantly, after meeting the family of the alleged rape victim girl in Delhi, Rahul Gandhi was accused of making her identity public through his tweet. After which the National Commission for Protection of Child Rights, taking suo motu cognizance of the matter, directed the police and social media platforms to take action.
