13 Naxals killed in Maharashtra's Gadchiroli district in Police encounter
According to Gadchiroli DIG Sandeep Patil, at least 13 Naxalites have been killed in the ongoing operation in the forest area of Etapalli.
New Delhi: The bodies of at least six Naxalites have been found in the Ghandat forest in Etapalli, Gadchiroli, in an ongoing encounter between the Maharashtra Police's C-60 unit and the Naxalites.

According to Gadchiroli DIG Sandeep Patil, at least 13 Naxalites have been killed in the ongoing operation in the forest area of Etapalli. Patil said that the encounter took place at dawn. He said, 'After knowing about the presence of Maoists in the forest, we started the campaign a day before. The search is still on. '
Police Encounter in Maharashtra:
Sources said that the Maoists of Kasansoor Dalam were trying to hold a meeting with the villagers on the tendu patta contract, when the police got a clue of it. The Maoists had met the villagers and were about to leave early in the morning, but their camp was attacked by commandos from the Pranahita headquarters of Gadchiroli and Aheri.
