Murthal rape case: High court pulls up Haryana government

Chandigarh : Punjab and Haryana high court on Tuesday, slammed Haryana Government for demanding more time for gathering facts regarding Murthal rape case. The high court stated that there is no doubt that the gangrape had taken place. In these circumstances the investigation agencies should concentrate on finding the victims and perpetrators.

The Haryana government’s lawyer in February had admitted that gangrape had happened in Murthal during the Jat agitation. A bench of justice SS Saron and Justice Lisa Gill ordered Haryana government to present the second part of the Prakash committee report before the next hearing.

The Haryana government in high court has pointed out that they have got new evidences in the case.

The court has also directed the Prakash Singh committee to submit thesecond part of the report. The government lawyer has assured that the a sealed packed report will be submitted in the court before next Tuesday. The next hearing will be done on 23rd July.
