Mukesh helps Anil clear INR 453 crore dues to Ericsson

Mumbai: Reliance Industries Chairman, Mukesh Ambani saved his younger brother from jail and helped him repay the dues of 453 crore to Reliance Communications owed Ericsson as directed by the Supreme court in its Feb 20th verdict, where it directed the chairman of beleaguered RCom to pay the Swedish telecom major its dues within four weeks else serve jail for three months.

"The requisite payment of Rs 550 crore and interest thereon to Ericsson has been completed today in compliance of the judgment of the Supreme Court," an RCOM spokesperson said.

Anil D. Ambani, Chairman of Reliance Communications, overwhelmed by the gesture of his elder brother, who came forward to help him by putting an end to almost a decade-and-a-half bitter separation, wrote a thank you note to Mukesh and Nita Ambani for their support regarding payment of dues.
