Monsoon Update: IMD forecasts heavy Rain in Bihar, Uttarkahand, Mizoram

New Delhi: While the monsoon is active in Bihar and East Uttar Pradesh, people are troubled by the heat in Delhi-NCR. While many parts of Bihar are receiving continuous rain, the heat in Delhi has broken the record of 90 years and there is still no relief from the heat wave.

However, in the meantime, the Meteorological Department has said that the southwest monsoon in the country is likely to be normal in July.

MONSOON 2021:

According to the Meteorological Department, good rains are not expected in the first week of July, but it is likely to gain momentum from the second half of the second week of the month.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy rain in Assam, Meghalaya, West Bengal, Sikkim and Bihar today. It is still raining in Bihar. At the same time, rain warning has been issued in East Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Mizoram, Tripura, Uttarakhand and Tamil Nadu.

Rain Alert:

A Monsoon Trough-an extended low pressure area is persisting from Uttar Pradesh to Assam. Due to this, strong moist southwesterly winds are expected from the Bay of Bengal, which will bring very heavy rain with extremely heavy falls at isolated places over East and North-East India for the next few days.

During this time, heavy rains may occur over Assam, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and adjoining areas, increasing the risk of flooding and waterlogging. According to the Meteorological Department, widespread rain with heavy to very heavy rains has been predicted in Bihar, North Bengal, Sikkim and Northeast India for the next five days.

Extremely heavy rainfall is expected at isolated places over Assam, Meghalaya, Sikkim and northern districts of West Bengal on July 2 and 3.
