New Delhi: After Kerala, monsoon has knocked in Maharashtra. Due to the southwest monsoon, some coastal areas of the state are receiving rain. At the same time, according to the Meteorological Department, by June 15, the southwest monsoon is likely to reach Odisha, Jharkhand, parts of West Bengal and Bihar.

Monsoon in Maharashtra:

Due to the southwest monsoon that arrived in Maharashtra on Saturday, some coastal areas of the state are receiving rain. Shubhangi Bhute, director of the regional center of the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), said that the monsoon has been as expected.

He said that the southwest monsoon has reached Maharashtra. It has formally reached the Harnai port in the coastal Ratnagiri district. The actual area of ​​its knock is up to Solapur and parts of Marathwada and then to Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

IMD Alert:

The India Meteorological Department said that the southwest monsoon is likely to reach parts of Bihar and Bengal, Jharkhand and Odisha for the next 10 days i.e. by June 15. The department said that Monsoon will cover Central Arabian Sea, entire Coastal Karnataka, Goa, parts of Maharashtra, most parts of North Interior Karnataka, parts of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and many more parts of Central Bay of Bengal and Northeast Bay of Bengal.

However, there is no chance of rain on Monday and Tuesday. Rajendra Jenamani of the department's National Weather Forecasting Center said that a low pressure area is likely to form in the Bay of Bengal by June 11.

This will help advance the monsoon. Due to the monsoon, many parts of Karnataka received heavy rains on Saturday. The department has forecast heavy rain with thundershowers and strong winds over Kerala and Tamil Nadu as well as Karnataka in the next 24 hours.
