Monsoon 2021: IMD forecasts heavy rain alert in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Maharashtra

New Delhi: Due to the formation of a low pressure area in the Bay of Bengal towards the northwest, the monsoon has reached prematurely in many states of the country.

Monsoon Rain begins:

While there is a possibility of heavy rain in the areas of Odisha and West Bengal adjoining the Ganges, in the next 24 hours, a rain alert has been issued in many states including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh. The monsoon which has reached central India is moving rapidly towards the northern parts of the country. It is likely to cover entire northern India in the next two days.

According to the Meteorological Department, the monsoon is reaching North India 15 days earlier this time. According to the Meteorological Department, due to favorable weather conditions, Southwest Monsoon is expected to cover the entire country except South Rajasthan and Kutch region of Gujarat in the next 4-5 days.

Meteorologists have predicted that this year, there is a possibility of normal rains from the southwest monsoon from June to September across the country.

Rain alert in Uttar Pradesh:

The weather is taking a turn in Uttar Pradesh and pre-monsoon is continuing in most of the districts of the state. According to the Meteorological Department, light to moderate rain may occur in most areas of Uttar Pradesh. The Meteorological Department has announced that the monsoon will enter the border of UP at any time on Sunday (June 13). Those districts of the state whose border with Bihar will get soaked by the rain.

Its first effect will be seen in Ballia, Ghazipur, Chandauli and Sonbhadra. After this, it will rain in the entire state in two to three days. The Meteorological Department has forecast that the monsoon will reach Lucknow in two to three days. According to the Lucknow-based Meteorological Department, the movement of monsoon is normal and due to this rain may occur in many districts of Purvanchal on Sunday.
