New Delhi: Monsoon 2021 has arrived in most parts of the country these days. Monsoon rains are falling from the mountains to the plains. Rivers are in spate due to rain in some states including UP, Uttarakhand and Bihar.

Rain Alert in UP:

Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted bad weather and rain in most cities of some states including UP, Rajasthan, Delhi, Haryana on Sunday.

Monsoon has advanced towards the rest of North Arabian Sea, Saurashtra and Gujarat, the entire Kutch region as well as some parts of Rajasthan and West Uttar Pradesh. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said that the conditions are not favorable for the monsoon to reach Delhi. In such a situation, there may be a delay in the arrival of monsoon to Delhi.

However, it is raining heavily in some parts of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Bihar, Rajasthan. Incessant rains have wreaked havoc in Uttarakhand. Contact with many villages has been cut. Many national and state highways have also been closed at some places. Work is on to move people to safer places.

IMD issues Alert:

On Saturday, 4 lakh cusecs of water was released from Haridwar into the Ganges. Due to this, the threat of flood has arisen in many districts of UP. 6 rivers of Purvanchal have come to the fore.

The impact of flood is maximum in Lakhimpur Kheri, Bahraich, Shravasti, Balrampur, Maharajganj, Deoria, Basti, Kushinagar, Siddharth Nagar, Gorakhpur, Gonda, Sant Kabir Nagar, Ballia, Barabanki, Sitapur and Mau in UP. Thousands of acres of crops have been submerged in these districts. The villagers are preparing to leave their homes. At the same time, Gandak, Kosi and Ghaghra rivers of Bihar are also in spate.
