Robert Vadra to face ED once again in money laundering case today

New Delhi: Sonia Gandhi's son-in-law Robert Vadra, for the second consecutive day on Thursday, has been questioned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with a money laundering case. The drilling session continued for two hours and he was quizzed about four more properties in London which he refused to recognize.

On Wednesday, Robert, who was grilled for six long hours on Wednesday, denied owning a series of properties in London and having any business ties with arms dealer Sanjay Bhandari and his cousin Sumit Chaddha.

A court has given Robert Vadra immunity from arrest till February 16, but also asked that he join the investigation.

Giving a strong political message to her opponents, Priyanka Gandhi dropped her husband Robert Vadra outside the Enforcement Directorate office on Wednesday.

The newly appointed Congres General Secretary (East) said, “He is my husband, he is my family… I support my family.”

Asked if it was a political vendetta, she said that everyone knows why this is being done.

Vadra’s aide Jagdish Sharma alleged outside the ED office that the BJP government was carrying out a political vendetta against him.
