PM Modi to inaugurate second eco-friendly airport of the country

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the Vadodara city of Gujarat on Saturday to inaugurate the newly constructed international terminal at Harni airport.

The new integrated terminal building is the second eco-friendly airport of the country after Chandigarh, inaugurated in 2015, and is equipped with international standard facilities.

The facilities of the airport were assessed and rated by the Green Ratings of International Habitat Assessment conceived by The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI).

The terminal will have 18 check-in counters and has the ability to handle 700 passengers per hour.

The Premiere is also scheduled to distribute artificial limbs and assisting devices to over 8,000 differently-abled people in Vadodara.
