New Delhi: Home Minister Rajnath Singh met Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti here on Thursday, days after the Centre named former Intelligence Bureau chief Dineshwar Sharma as its interlocutor for talks in the troubled state.

"The meeting began at around 1100 hours and went on for an hour and a half," a Home Ministry official said. The two leaders met at the Home Minister's office in North block.

The Chief Minister arrived here in the morning along with a team of state government officers, including Chief Secretary BB Vyas.
