New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Sunday, shared his thoughts with the people of the country through his monthly radio programme 'Mann Ki Baat'.

In 'Mann Ki Baat' PM Modi addressed students who are appearing in board exams. Addressing the 62nd edition of his programme, PM Modi talked about his “memorable visit” to Hunar Haat and how it showcased India's diversity and dynamism.

62nd Edition of Mann Ki Baat:

Prime Minister Modi discussed Hunar Haat in Mann Ki Baat. He said that more than 50 per cent of the artists participating in Hunar Haat are women and in the last three years about three lakh artists.

Artists have got work opportunities through Hunar Haat. Hunar Haat is a platform for performing arts, as well as giving wings to people's dreams.

Nari Shakti:

PM Modi also talked about women empowerment and said that India’s “Nari Shakti” is scaling newer heights. He also shared the achievement of 12-year-old Kamya Karthikeyan, India’s youngest mountaineer who has set the record for conquering Mount Aconcagua, the highest peak outside Asia.

“All over India, fairs and exhibitions such as Hunar Haat are organised from time to time. Whenever there’s an opportunity to visit these places one should always attend to experience the diversity of India,” said PM“

Today, all of them together manufacture 150 pairs of slippers a day. Not just that, this year Salman has resolved to provide employment to 100 more such divyang mates. I salute their courage and their enterprise,” said PM..
