New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the people of the country through his monthly radio program 'Mann Ki Baat'. This was the 85th episode of Mann Ki Baat. This is the first time that the Mann Ki Baat program started at 11.30 am. Earlier it has been telecasted at 11 am.

Mann Ki Baat:

'Mann Ki Baat' is the monthly radio program of the Prime Minister, which is broadcast on the last Sunday of every month. This time the PM has done this at the beginning of the program, remembering Mahatma Gandhi on his death anniversary. Prime Minister Modi said, 'Today is the death anniversary of our revered Bapu, this day on January 30 reminds us of Bapu's teachings.'

He said, 'Just a few days ago we celebrated Republic Day, the tableau of the country's valor and strength, which we saw at the Rajpath in Delhi, has filled everyone with pride and enthusiasm. A digital statue of Netaji has been installed at India Gate, we can never forget the way the country welcomed it, the kind of feelings expressed by every countryman. Through these efforts, the country is re-establishing its national symbols in the nectar festival of independence. We saw that the 'Amar Jawan Jyoti' near India Gate and the 'National War Memorial' nearby were united.

PM Modi said, 'Padma honor has also been announced in the country. There are many such names among the recipients of Padma awards, about which very few people know. These are the unsung heroes of our country, who have done extraordinary things in ordinary circumstances. For example, Basanti Devi of Uttarakhand has been honored with Padma Shri. Basanti Devi lived her entire life in the midst of struggles.

Similarly, 77-year-old Lorembam Beino Devi of Manipur has been patronizing the Leeba Textile Art of Manipur for decades. He has also been awarded the Padma Shri. Arjun Singh of Madhya Pradesh has received Padma award for recognizing the art of Baiga tribal dance.

Vaccination in India:

PM Modi said, 'India is fighting the new wave of corona with great success, it is also a matter of pride that till now about four and a half crore children have taken the dose of corona vaccine. This means that about 60% of the youth in the age group of 15 to 18 years have got the vaccines within three to four weeks. Another good thing is that within 20 days, one crore people have also taken precaution dose.
