Mandi landslide: Death toll rises to five, rescue operation begins

Mandi (Himachal Pradesh): At least seven people have been killed and six others injured due to the devastating landslide that hit Himachal Pradesh's Mandi on Saturday.

People injured have been rushed to the nearby hospital and the rescue operation is on in the area.

Sources said that at least four people have been rescued from the debris.

Deputy Commissioner of Mandi, Sandeep Kadam was quoted as saying, "Three vehicles were stranded after the landslide. A bus had also rolled down to nearly 800 meters from the National Highway and four people have been rescued from the debris."
