Police arrests remaining four accused of the Manappuram gold robbery case

Kanpur: In a major breakthrough, the city police and Gurugram police on Monday apprehended the remaining four accused from the gang of dacoits who looted 33 kilograms of gold and over Rs.7 lakh cash from the Manappuram Finance Ltd. branch on February 9.

The cops also recovered 3 kilograms of gold and large amount of cash from the possession.

According to the senior police officer, "The accused related to the daylight heist at the Mannapuram gold loan branch have been arrested. Our officers are interrogating them."

It may be mentioned that on February 11 the police arrested three robbers who were involved in the incident."

The incident:

  • The seven robbers looted gold over 33 kilograms and seven lakh cash from the Mannapuram Gold loan branch at New Railway Road in Gurugram.
  • They also stabbed knife to the guard Mukesh Kumar and customers.
  • To avoid being identified the robbers sprayed foam on the CCTV.
