Madhya Pradesh: A 12 year-old girl raped and beheaded by her relatives
As the girl did not return from school the previous day, her family members began searching and on not receiving any clues, her father filed a "missing" complaint to the police in the district. The police grew suspicious after the girl's uncle claimed that one Chote Patel, who lives in same village, had killed her. He even said that Patel and the family were locked in a land dispute.

The height of cruelty can be depicted in Madhya Pradesh, where a 12 year-old girl was kidnapped, gang raped and murdered allegedly by her brothers and uncle on March 14. Her body was found outside the village the same day. Police reports say that she had been choked and beheaded.

Accusing the uncle of trying to mislead investigators, senior police officer Amit Sanghi told that the postmortem and medical report revealed that the girl was a victim of rape. More questioning revealed the role of the girl's relatives in this horrific crime.
The girl was misleaded by one of her cousin brothers to their uncle's place when she was returning home after exams. The uncle and her two brothers gang raped her in a savagely violent way and when she asserted to go to the police, her aunt allegedly strangled her. She was beheaded and dumped into the fields, the police officer said.

"Our two senior officers collected all evidence and recorded the statements of the family members. When everything was pieced together, we found that she was raped and murdered by her brothers and uncle. We arrested the uncle and one of the brothers," said Mr Sanghi. Blood-stained clothes and murder weapon - a sickle - were also found. The police are yet to trace another brother.
