New Delhi: Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi late on Friday night confirmed that his mother and party chief Sonia Gandhi, who was admitted to a hospital due to stomach upset, was doing fine and there was nothing to worry about.

The Congress scion confirmed the same on Twitter and also thanked the people for showing tremendous love and concern.

Earlier in the day on Friday, Sonia Gandhi was admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital (SGRH) in the national capital after she complained of stomach upset.

"Madam Gandhi was brought to the hospital today (Friday) around 5 pm. She has been found to be suffering from upset stomach," said DS Rana, Chairman (Board of Management) SGRH.

According to Rana, the 71-year-old politician was kept under observation.

Gandhi had been admitted to SGRH earlier in the past for a shoulder injury and respiratory related problems.
