On Wednesday, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh released his statement on Twitter. In which he wrote that "Army soldiers in Galwan Valley gave their lives while performing their duty, the country will never forget this sacrifice of theirs".

Rajnath Singh tweeted and wrote, "The loss of soldiers in Galwan is deeply disturbing and painful. Our soldiers displayed exemplary courage and valour in the line of duty and sacrificed their lives in the highest traditions of the Indian Army." The Defense Minister wrote that he expressed comfort to the families of the martyred soldiers, the country stands shoulder to shoulder with them. We are proud of our country's soldiers.
After the meeting of the Cabinet of Security Affairs led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the government has given an open exemption to the army. The government said that the army should act according to the ground situation.
20 soldiers of the Indian Army were martyred:
