New Delhi: Hailing the historic verdict pronounced by the Supreme Court on the Ayodhya land dispute case, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, on Saturday, said that it is now the responsibility of all of us to come together, live together and move forward.

Addressing the nation, PM Modi said, "India's credo of unity in diversity is today visible in its totality. SC heard all parties and it's a matter of happiness that Ayodhya judgment was unanimous."

Modi continued to say, "SC verdict has brought new dawn, now next generation will build new India. Our peace, unity and amity is essential for development of India. Today is the day to forget any bitterness one may have; no place for fear, bitterness and negativity in new India."

Settling a fractious issue that goes back more than a century, the Supreme Court in a historic verdict on Saturday backed the construction of a Ram temple by a trust at the disputed site in Ayodhya, and ruled that an alternative five-acre plot must be found for a mosque in the Hindu holy town.
