New Delhi: Corona is wreaking havoc in the country. In India, cases of covid-19 have increased to more than 1.5 million.While, so far, more than 34 thousand people have become victims of this deadly virus. The rate of recovery of patients in the country is 64.24 percent and the rate of death of infection is 2.25 percent. Total confirmed cases include foreign nationals found infected in the country.

Single-day spike of 48,513 COVID-19 cases, 768 fatalities pushes India's virus caseload to 15,31,669, death toll to 34,193, informed by Health Ministry.

India at third position in World:

Right now India is at the third place in the list of countries most affected by corona in the world. Brazil is ahead of India and America in first place. However, it is a matter of relief that the rate of corona infection has been seen in Delhi and Mumbai.

In West Bengal, the death toll rose to 1,449 on Tuesday after 38 more patients died due to covid-19. The health department gave this information. The department said that with the addition of 2,134 new cases of covid-19, its total cases increased to 62,964. The state is currently undergoing treatment for 19,493 patients while 2,105 patients have been discharged from hospitals after recovering in the last 24 hours.

24 new cases of Corona were reported in Chandigarh on Tuesday, taking the total number of cases in this union territory to 934. This information is given in a medical bulletin. A total of 599 people have been cured in the city so far. The medical bulletin states that so far a total of 13,069 samples have been taken for examination and out of them 12,076 reports have come negative while 56 reports are awaited.
