New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with the leaders of the opposition and other parties through video conferencing to reduce the outbreak of Corona virus. During this, he described the situation in the country as 'Social Emergency'. It also indicated that the lockdown cannot be removed from all over India.

COVID19 CASES:

So far 6761 corona infected have been found in the country. The death toll from this virus has reached 206. According to the Ministry of Health, 700 new cases of COVID-19 have been reported in the last 24 hours.

LIVE UPDATES:

-Punjab government announces extension of the coronavirus lockdown in the state till May 1, becoming the second state after Odisha to do so.

-Over 65 unidentified people have been booked for obstructing cremation of a COVID19 patient in Jalandhar's Harnam Daspura, Punjab.

-Police commissioners UP and DM Lucknow gave a new order regarding the lockdown. Under this, traffic has been banned completely except supply of essential commodities from 9:30 am to 6 pm Today.

-5 more people, two of them Nizamuddin event attendees, test positive for COVID-19 in Mumbai's Dharavi: BMC
