Law student writes to CJI to take cognizance of violence during Tractor Rally

New Delhi: During the tractor parade of farmers on Tuesday, the case of the flag hoisting by the demonstrators at the ramparts of the Red Fort has reached the Supreme Court. A law student has written a letter to the Chief Justice of India SA Bobde regarding the matter and sought to take suo motu cognizance against anti-social elements hoisting the flag of another community at the Red Fort.
Letter to CJI in flag Hoisting Matter:
The letter written by Ashish Rai, a law student of the University of Mumbai. It said that on January 26, 2021, a tractor rally organized by a group of farmers sparked terror by some anti-social elements.
The letter also said that the way the national flag of India was replaced by the flag of another community in the Red Fort, hurt the honor and dignity of the country.
This is a shameful incident. The whole country is also hurt by this incident because this incident has insulted the country's constitution as well as the national flag. The devotion of the country has been hurt. Hence such activity hurts the constitutional sentiments of the Indian citizen.

Therefore, there is a humble request to the Supreme Court to set up a Special Investigation Committee. On the entire matter to investigate and punish the accused against the anti-social element involved in this unconstitutional activity.
Violence during Farmers' Tractor Rally:
Significantly, in the name of opposition to the agricultural laws, the miscreants involved in the tractor parade of farmers in Delhi on Republic Day created a furore and attacked the Red Fort. He put a saffron flag there. On trying to stop them, they threw stones at the policemen and attacked them with rods and swords. 83 policemen were injured in this. The condition of 26 is said to be critical. 12 FIRs have been registered in the case. To control the situation, paramilitary forces have been deployed in Delhi. Also, internet service has also been stopped in the affected areas.
