Haryana: India's largest solar power plant of 11.5 Megawatt capacity has been established at Beas, near Amristar in Punjab.

The power plant was inaugurated by Punjab Chief Minister Prakash Singh Badal on Tuesday.

Established in sprawling 82 acres about 45 kilometres away district headquarters, the plant built by Radha Soami Satsang Beas has costed a sum of rupees 139 crore.

It is also expected that it will control 19000 tonnes of carbon emission per year.
