Know the inspiring story of Engineer Shri Ram: 'SDO in UP'

BIHAR: The story of Shri Ram of Bikramganj in Rohtas district of the state is quite inspiring. Yes, you will be surprised to know how a vegetable seller's son studying in the Hindi medium government became the SDO, so let's know about the real life story…

Inspiring Story:

Shriram's father's name is Sanjay Gupta, who hails from village Motha in Karakat Lok Sabha constituency. Live in a rented house in Bikramganj. The son was taught and made an engineer by selling vegetables in the vegetable market of Bikramganj. Along with his hard work, his parents and Guru RK Srivastava have contributed a lot to Shriram's success.

Mathematics Guru:

Sriram's family situation was not so good in those days. Guru RK Srivastava greatly supported Shriram in his studies and taught him for 4 years free in his company till he became an engineer. But times changed, the circumstances changed and today Shriram became an engineer and is working as the SDO in the Government Electric Department.

Sriram left many jobs before becoming SDO. Prior to this, he was an officer in the ECIL Department of the Government of India.

Shri Ram studied since his childhood in Hindi medium in a government school. He passed the 10th examination from RDS High School Dhanagai, then 12th from AS College Bikramganj and got the Bihar Engineering Entrance Examination in the year 2013.

Struggle Story:

Let me tell you that the tuition fees of BCECE Government Engineering College are so low that every poor can become an engineer after studying from Government Engineering College. The fee for the entire 4-year engineering college was about 20 thousand rupees, in which the government returned about 15 thousand above as Scholarship.

That is, after studying in tuition fees of only Rs 4 to 5 thousand, students are studying in engineering colleges of Bihar government and becoming engineers. If you see, then it was about 80 or 90 months and got an engineering degree from a government college. After doing engineering, Shriram did GATE QUALIFY in the year 2017,2018,2019.

RK Srivastava also describes Shriram's struggles as an inspiration.

RK Srivastava said that when he spoke to Shriram, he told that the 4 years he spent in your company (till class 9th to 12th and the present year in the same year to succeed in engineering entrance exam) was priceless for my life.

You taught us selflessly. Shri Ram told how Sir, you used to teach us continuously throughout the night. It was not known to me when it would happen from night to morning. Today, it is due to your hard work that we have reached this milestone.

Very proud of students like you- R.K.

RK Srivastava said that students like you are very proud who are still connected with their soil. A roll model for all those students of the country who dream of becoming engineers even after living in less facilities in the village and make that dream come true.
