New Delhi: The cases of Coronavirus infection are increasing continuously in Kerala. At present, Kerala is the only state in the country where maximum cases of corona are coming. In the midst of all this, the Kerala government has decided to remove the weekend lockdown on Wednesday.

Relaxation in Weekend lockdown:

Health Minister Veena George told the Legislative Assembly on Wednesday that the state government had received suggestions to set additional criteria regarding the classification of test positivity rate. However, the government has also warned of imposing a triple lockdown.

Health Minister Veena George said, 'We need to divide the areas on the basis of corona cases per 1000 population. A day earlier, a high-level meeting convened by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan had decided to amend the COVID containment plan in the state after the TPR-based lockdown results of municipal bodies failed.

After discussing the report given by the experts of the panel of covid Management, the members present in the meeting recommended allowing shops to open till 9 pm with some restrictions.

New Guidelines in Kerala:

Shops will now be able to open 6 days a week in Kerala from 7 am to 9 pm.

If more than 10 people per 1000 population are infected in an area in a week, then there will be a triple lockdown.

In view of Onam and Independence Day, there will be no lockdown on 15th August and 22nd August. Both days are Sundays.

Only 20 people are allowed for the wedding ceremony or funeral.

On Tuesday, 23,676 new cases of covid-19 were reported in Kerala, taking the total number of infected people to 34.49 lakh, while the death toll due to infection rose to 17,103 after 148 more deaths.
