New Delhi: Coming out in support of Delhi University students, former President of JNU's student Union Kanhaiya Kumar has criticised the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) stating that they do not provide room for discussion on any ideology related to the nation.
Kumar, during the protest march by the DU students on Tuesday said, "You (ABVP) cannot enforce one particular ideology on anyone and there should be room for discussion."
The former JNUSU President invited the ABVP for discussion on ideologies related to the nation and to stop the violence they have been creating with the students.
It could be mentioned that this scuffle between the AISA and ABVP has created tension among the Delhi students, after a Lady Sriram College student Gurmehar Kaur had picture of her holding a placard that went viral on social media.
She, however, opted out of the DU protest after receiving threats from ABVP protesters.
