Two jawans, four terrorists killed in encounter in Kulgam (J&K)

Kulgam (J&K) : Two Indian Army jawans were martyred and four terrorists were killed in an encounter in the village of South Kashmir in the wee hours on Sunday.

According to the reports, three jawans and few civilians were also injured in the gunfight and were rushed to the hospital.

The deputy inspector general of police SP Pani said, "The gunfight occurred in the Nagbal Frisal area of Kulgam District in Jammu and Kashmir."

Pani further stated that the encounter started after militants opened fire. They were hiding in the village.

The village, however, has been cordoned off by the army.
