Janmashtami 2021: Prez Kovind, PM Modi & other leaders extend wishes to the Nation

New Delhi: Janmashtami is being celebrated across the country today. There is a buzz about this festival all around. This year this festival is being celebrated on 30th August. On this special occasion, along with Mathura, the chants of 'Hare Rama Hare Krishna' are reverberating in Krishna temples of the country since morning.

However, due to the Corona crisis, grand programs are not being organized on the birth anniversary of Lord Shri Krishna. Today the temples of Shri Krishna have been decorated across the country. On this special occasion, all the veterans including President Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi have congratulated the countrymen.

President Ram Nath Kovind extends wishes:

Congratulating the countrymen on Janmashtami, President Ram Nath Kovind wrote, "Heartfelt greetings to all the countrymen on this auspicious occasion. This festival is an opportunity to learn about the life-character of Lord Shri Krishna and dedicate ourselves to his messages. I wish that this festival brings happiness, health and prosperity in everyone's life.

PM Modi said - Jai Shri Krishna

On the other hand, Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote on Twitter, 'Many wishes to all the countrymen on the holy festival of Janmashtami. Long live Shri Krishna!

Amit Shah and Rajnath Singh also extended his wishes to nation. Along with this, Home Minister Amit Shah also wished the countrymen on Janmashtami and said, 'Wishing all the countrymen a very happy Janmashtami. Jai Shri Krishna!'

Apart from this, while wishing on this auspicious occasion, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh wrote, 'Wishing you all a very Happy Janmashtami'.

JP Padda tweets:

BJP National President JP Nadda has also extended his best wishes on Janmashtami.

He said, "Heartfelt greetings to all the countrymen on the auspicious occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami. Let us all resolve to imbibe the ideals shown by him, the teachings of the Gita and the knowledge of Karma Yoga! May Lord Shri Krishna bless everyone with happiness, prosperity and health. Long live Shri Krishna!'
