Jan Akanksha Rally Patna: Tejashwi Yadav endorses RaGa as the next PM

Patna: Sharing the stage with Congress president Rahul Gandhi, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav, on Sunday, endorsed him as the next Prime Minister of India. The congress chief is in the state to address the first public meeting organized by the party in the city in nearly three decades.

Tejashwi Yadav said, “Rahul Gandhi has ability to be the prime minister. Narendra Modi is the seller of lies. We have to be united to defeat the BJP. They carry out riots, be alert.”

Before, addressing the rally, Rahul Gandhi visited Gandhi Maidan in Patna, Bihar, and paid tribute to 'Father of the Nation', Mahatma Gandhi.

During his speech, Gandhi attacked the Prime Minister over the budget announcement of direct cash transfer to farmers, saying the "meagre" amount of Rs 17 per day was an insult to our farmers. He says that this was a historic step for the BJP and all its MPs thumped their desks in Parliament for five minutes.

He also attacked BJP claiming that Modi makes big promises, but the reality is that he is giving farmers only Rs 17 per day. This, he says, translates to just Rs 3.50 for a member of a farmer’s family. However, not to forget that Modi gave Rs 30,000 crore to Anil Ambani, Rs 35,000 crore to Nirav Modi and Rs 10,000 crore to Vijay Mallya.

All in praise for Rahul Gandhi, Chhattisgarh chief minister Bhupesh Baghel said, "To be Rahul Gandhi, it means to fulfill the promises made. Farmers in Chhattisgarh are happy and it’s all because of Rahul Gandhi. Bihar will stand up again. I am confident of this because Rahul Gandhi is our neta."

Meanwhile, Madhya Pradesh CM Kamal Nath said, "The first thing I did, after assuming the charge as the CM, was waiving off the farm loan. Today is 3 Feb, till 3 March we will waive off the farm loan of 30 lakh farmers. After March 3, we will waive off farm loan of rest of the 15 lakh farmers.

Kamal Nath criticized Modi for not cleaning Ganga, "PM Narendra Modi government had planned to clean Ganga but then they cleaned banks while Rahul Gandhi kept his promise to farmers with loan waiver."

Rahul accussed Modi government for giving money to loan defaulters like Nirav and Mallya, “From the people of Bihar, he took the money and gave it to Mallya, Mehul Choksi, Nirav Modi. Modi had promised Rs 15 lakh... so did anyone present in this rally get those Rs 15 lakh which was promised?”

He also alleged that Modi always remains in marketing mode, Rahul Gandhi says he keeps talking about his baseless schemes, but has done nothing for Patna University. “He keeps talking nonsense, but has not given education or jobs to the youth of Bihar,” he says.

Rahul Gandhi promises central tag for Patna University, and asks Modi where are the jobs that his government promised.
