Jammu and Kashmir | Militant killed in gunfight in Uri

Srinagar: A militant was killed on Sunday in an ongoing gunfight in the border town of Uri, near Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir.

The operation was launched by security forces after receiving specific inputs about militants hiding in the Khaleghi forest area.

"As the cordon was tightened, the militants opened fire at the security forces triggering the gunfight," a police official said.
