Jammu Kashmir: Grenade attack in Bandipora's Sumbal, Civilian injured
Six people were seriously injured due to its grip. All civilian admitted to a local hospital for treatment.
New Delhi: Six people were seriously injured in a grenade attack by terrorists in north Kashmir's Bandipora's Sumbal Pul area on Tuesday. The windows of several vehicles were broken in the blast. After this sudden attack, there was a stampede on the spot. Security forces have reached the area after receiving information about the attack. All the injured have been taken to the hospital.
Grenade attack in Bandipora:
According to a senior police officer, the terrorists threw a grenade targeting the security forces. The grenade exploded after falling on the other side of the road. Six people were seriously injured due to its grip. All civilian admitted to a local hospital for treatment.
The injured include Mohammad Altaf resident Naninara, Faisal Fayazi resident Safapora, Mushtaq Ah resident Markundal, Taslima Bano resident Markundal, now Hameed resident Markundal and Fayaz Ah resident Asham. The condition of all the injured is said to be stable. The police officer said that the search is on for the terrorists in the area.
In September, terrorists hurled a grenade targeting the security forces in Pulwama. Three people were injured when it exploded. Due to the tight vigil of the security forces in the Valley, the terrorists are planning to carry out grenade attacks due to the panic. So as to harm the security forces. These incidents are being carried out by Over Ground Workers (OGWs) and hybrid terrorists so that even if one of them is killed or caught, the terrorist organizations do not get a big shock.
Ten civilians were injured in the Srinagar grenade attack in August
On August 10, terrorists had lobbed a grenade targeting a Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) bunker in the Hari Singh High Street area, some distance from Lal Chowk. 10 civilians were injured in this attack. After the attack, a person was arrested by the police with two grenades at a checkpoint.
