New Delhi: The agitation of farmers of many states against the new agriculture law of the central government is at the peak. The farmers have called for a Bharat Bandh with their demands. Its effect started to appear from Tuesday morning itself. However, a time has been set today regarding the Bharat Bandh of the farmers, which will be from 11 am to 3 pm. However, its effect has started showing in many states.

Bhim Army supporters protest

During the Bharat Bandh in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, supporters of the Bhim Army have faced opposition. People of Bhim Army arrived here at the UP gate among the farmers and started participating in the dharna demonstration. But it was the farmers who drove him away.

The farmers alleged that Bhima Army supporters were trying to provoke the movement, after which they opposed him. After this, the police chased away the supporters of the Bhim Army, using sticks.

Haryana CM will meet Agriculture Minister

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar will meet Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar on the issue of Agriculture Bill. There is a widespread impact of the peasant movement in Haryana and the Khattar government is also under threat.

In Lucknow, the MLC of the Samajwadi Party is sitting on a sit-in protest against the Kisan Bill. The SP is supporting the Bharat Bandh and in this episode started the Kisan Yatra on the previous day. Meanwhile, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav was taken into custody by the police.

Amid the Bharat Bandh, Union Minister Prakash Javadekar has given a big statement. He said in favor of the government that the farmers had demanded additional price for the cost and we are giving them 50 percent above the cost. The Congress never made any offer during his tenure.

The Union Minister said that it is PM Modi who gives it. The opposition that is talking to withdraw these laws is hypocritical, as they passed the Contract Agriculture Act while in power. The Congress in its manifesto said to implement these laws.

Farmers stopped trains in Maharashtra

Bharat Bandh includes farmers from almost the entire country. If farmers are present on the Singhu border from UP Haryana, Punjab and Gujarat then farmers of other states of the country are standing in their support. In this series, farmers in Maharashtra have come on the road and sat on the railway tracks. In such a situation, many trains were changed in Maharashtra.

The impact of the Bharat Bandh against agricultural laws has started showing in Odisha as well. Here the farmers have sat on a dharna. Demonstrations are taking place under the leadership of several farmer organizations. The farmers are shouting slogans and appealing to the government to fulfill their demands.

No leaders allowed on the stage:

Farmer leader Nirbhay Singh Dhudike on the Indus border said last day that his opposition is not limited to Punjab only. Leaders from around the world like Justin Trudeau from Canada are also supporting. This is a peaceful protest. Farmer leader Dr. Darshan Pal said that tomorrow will not be closed for the whole day. There will be a chakka jam till 3 in the afternoon. It will be a peaceful stop. We will not allow any political leader on our platform.

Advisory for Bharat Bandh:

In a countrywide advisory, the Union Home Ministry also said the state governments and UT administrations must ensure that the COVID-19 guidelines issued with regard to health and social distancing are strictly followed.

The states and UTs were told that peace and tranquillity must be maintained during the ‘Bharat Bandh’. And precautionary measures taken so that no untoward incident takes place anywhere in the country, a home ministry official said on Monday.
