ISRO launches latest earth observation satellite EOS-01, 9 others lifts off

New Delhi: Communication satellite CMS-01 through Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle Communication Satellite C50 (PSLV-C50) will be launched from Mr. Harikota's Satish Dhawan Space Center (SDSC). This information was given by the Indian Space Research Organization on Friday.

PSLV C50 Launch:

The space agency said, "CMS-01 will be launched from the Second Launch Pad (SLP) via PSLV-C50, the 52nd mission of PSLV, on 17 December. According to weather conditions, this launch will be done at 15.41 hrs on December 17 at local time.

The PSLV-C50 PSLV has 22 flights with 'XL' configuration. ISRO stated that this will be the 77th launch vehicle mission to be launched from SDSC SHAR of Sriharikota. ISRO stated that this communication satellite is intended to provide service in the 'Extended Sea Band', covering the mainland of India, Andaman Nicobar and Lakshadweep Islands.

"PSLV-C50, which is the 52nd mission of PSLV, will launch CMS-01 from the Second Launch Pad (SLP) of Satish Dhawan Space Centre (SDSC) SHAR, Sriharikota. The launch is tentatively scheduled at 15:41 Hrs IST on December 17, 2020 subject to weather conditions," the space agency said.
