Indrani strangled Sheena, claims accused turned approver driver

Mumbai: Shyamvar Rai, the accused turned approved in the Sheena Bora murder case has claimed that it was Indrani Mukerjea who had strangulated her daughter inside the car on April 24, 2012.

Rai, in a 12-page statement also claimed that he and Indrani’s ex-husband Sanjeev Khanna had helped her in killing Sheena.

The statement was handed over to all the accused by the special Central Board of Investigation (CBI) court on Friday.

A lawyer privy to the statement also said that Rai had not made any allegations about Peter.
