New Delhi: External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj on Thursday said that the Indian student, who was brutally assaulted in Poland, fortunately has survived. He was earlier reported to have died.

Swaraj took to Twitter after getting details about the incident from the Indian ambassador to Poland Ajay Bisaria.

Swaraj tweeted, "There was an incident of beating. Fortunately, he has survived. We are inquiring into all aspects of the incident."

It may be mentioned that an Indian, Amit Agnihotri had tagged the Indian external affairs ministry to report the death of an Indian student who was brutally assaulted in Poznan city of Poland.

Agnihotri, in his tweet, mentioned that it was a racist attack similar to USA on the Indian student.
