Jammu: Armies of India and Pakistan were engages in heavy shelling of firing on the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.

According to police, the Pakistan Army started unprovoked shelling and firing targeting Indian positions.

"Indian troops retaliated effectively and strongly. Firing exchanges are going on in Keri area," a police officer said.

It is to be mentioned that the two armies had traded heavy fire in Khari Karmara belt of Poonch district on Sunday.

The LoC divides Jammu and Kashmir between India and Pakistan.
