Delhi wakes up to wet morning: IMD predicts thunderstorms, rain in Haryana, UP, Rajasthan

The India Meteorological Department predicted thunderstorms with light to moderate intensity rainfall in Delhi, Haryana, Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh.

New Delhi: Delhi and its neighbouring areas including Noida, Ghaziabad, Faridabad and Gurugram received rainfall Monday morning. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) early morning released a forecast of thunderstorms and rain in Delhi parts of Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Rajasthan.

Delhi-NCR receives rainfall

In a big respite for the residents of Delhi-National Capital Region reeling under intense humidity, woke up to a rainy Monday morning.

The IMD has predicted thunderstorms with light to moderate intensity rainfall in Delhi and its adjoining areas, including Bahadurgarh, Gurugram, Manesar, Faridabad, Ballabhgarh, Noida) Assandh, Safidon, Gohana, Gannaur, Sonipat, Rohtak, Jhajjar today.

The weather department has also said that rainfall might also occur over Narnaul, Mahendargarh, Kosali, Farukhnagar, Bawal, Rewari, Nuh, Sohana, Hodal, Palwal in Haryana.

Uttar Pradesh's Muzaffarnagar, Baraut, Bagpat, Bijnaur, Chandpur, Hastinapur, Khatauli, Meerut, Modinagar, Moradabad, Billari, Sambhal, Amroha, Garhmukteshwar, Siyana, Hapur, Pilakhua, Chandausi Bahajoi, Sahaswan, Anupshahar, Jahangirabad, Shikarpur, Bulandshahar, Gulaoti, Barsana, Nandgaonare also expected to receive dowpnpour today.

The IMD has forecast generally cloudy skies with the possibility of light to moderate rains and thundershowers in Rajasthan's Viratnagar, Kotputli, Khairthal, Bhiwari, Laxmangarh, Nagar, Alwar, Tizara.

The weather in Monsoons is pleasant enough to spend an evening sipping on a cup of hot cappuccino at a small street side cafe, watching as the rain pours down the streets. The lakes are overflowed with water, glistening in shades of blue. The mountains transform into lush green escapades and rain makes everything magical.
