Amritsar: Amid the debate of war and peace, India on Wednesday released 39 Pakistani prisoners at the Wagah border.

Among 39 prisoners, 21 were fishermen while others have served out their sentence. Prisoners were handed over to Pakistani Ranger personnel.

Earlier this month, India had released a Pakistani national who mistakenly crossed border.

Pakistan had also handed over Indian Army jawan, Chandu Babulal Chohan to India at the Wagah border.
