Inclement weather conditions affects air transport in Delhi
New Delhi: Several passengers were left stranded at the Indira Gandhi International Airport of New Delhi after 27 flights were diverted or delayed owing to inclement weather conditions, said airport authorities,
The flights scheduled for arrival at the IGI airport on Sunday evening were diverted to other nearby airports due to poor visibility in the national capital. The diverted flights also included the flight of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and it was diverted to Jaipur.
Airport officials, however, said that adequate arrangements to deal with the overcrowding were made well in time.
