New Delhi: In this time country is fighting with Corona pandemic. At the same time, IMD has hinted heavy to very heavy rainfall in many parts of India. Meteorological department also issued alert in many states of country.

Rain alert in North west:

The North West and Rajasthan have received 6 per cent less rainfall than normal even after continuous monsoon activity. According to the weather department, rainfall in August should be 421.69 mm by this period, but so far it has been 394.71 mm. With the possibility of rains once again, the weather department has forecast rain in many parts of the state on Friday.

IMD issued Yellow alert in 3 districts on Friday. Torrential rains may occur in Baran, Sawaimadhopur and Karauli. Apart from this, normal rains are expected at many places in Udaipur, Bharatpur, Jaipur, Ajmer and Kota divisions.

The Water Resources Department has claimed almost normal rainfall in the state. According to the department, normal rains have occurred in 22 districts of the state and abnormal rains in 3 districts. 8 districts of the state have received less than normal rainfall.

Monsoon rainfall:

This time the monsoon was very slow in Rajasthan. Due to this, some areas received rain and other areas remained dry. But in August, the monsoon changed its stand and clouds lashed in many areas. Heavy rains in the capital Jaipur created flood conditions. At the same time, many areas of Mewar region also received heavy rainfall.

Following the heavy rains in Banswara district in the southern part of Rajasthan, the river drains were in spate. At the same time, due to heavy rains in its vicinity and neighboring state of Madhya Pradesh, water flow overflowed in Mahi dam and all then authorities opened16 gates of it.
