IMD issues Alert; Snowfall in mountains and rain prediction in many states

New Delhi: Weather patterns across the country may change once again. The Meteorological Department has predicted snowfall and rain in many parts of the country in the coming days. Its effect can be seen in the surrounding areas and the cold may return once again. According to the meteorological forecast, due to the activation of Western Disturbance, there is a possibility of rain and snowfall in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh and other places.

Heavy Rain and Snowfall prediction:

Earlier, dense fog was seen in many parts of Delhi and Punjab and isolated places in Haryana and northwest Rajasthan on Sunday. Also, light fog was seen in different parts of Assam, Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. The effect of changing the weather can also be seen in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh.

The Meteorological Department says the Western Disturbance will activate from February 21 to February 25. Due to which there is a possibility of snowfall and rain in the upper reaches of Uttarakhand, Himachal, Jammu and Kashmir and areas of Ladakh.

While rain, fog and winter will increase in other states. Let us know that the condition of the rest of the states including Delhi-NCR.

The Meteorological Department said that from 21 to 25 February, the weather in the hill areas will be bad. A weather alert has been issued till 23 February with thunderstorms and rain in Shimla Solan, Sirmaur, Mandi, Kullu and Chamba.

According to the Meteorological Department, since the second week of February, with the arrival of spring season. There has not been a cold wave in the plains of North India. Due to which day temperatures in most cities are above normal these days. There is a possibility of snowfall in the upper and middle mountain areas of the state on 21 and there may be hailstorm with rain in the lower areas. There is a possibility of more snowfall and rain on 22 February.
