Robert Vadra denies owning London properties during ED questioning

The newly appointed Congres General Secretary (East) said, "He is my husband, he is my family... I support my family." Asked if it was a political vendetta, she said that everyone knows why this is being done. Priyanka and Robert hugged each other and planted a kiss in each other's cheek before coming out of the car outside the ED office in Jamnagar House at the mouth of the India Gate circle.

New Delhi: Enforcement Directorate (ED), on Wednesday, grilled Congress Chief Rahul Gandhi's brother-in-law Robert Vadra for four hours in connection with the money laundering case.

Robert, according to the sources, has denied owning a series of properties in London and having any business ties with arms dealer Sanjay Bhandari and his cousin Sumit Chaddha.

ED, however, may summon Robert Vadra again for interrogation.

A court has given Robert Vadra immunity from arrest till February 16, but also asked that he join the investigation.

Earlier, giving a strong political message to her opponents, Priyanka Gandhi, on Wednesday, dropped her husband Robert Vadra outside the Enforcement Directorate office who arrived here to face questioning in connection with a money laundering case.

The newly appointed Congres General Secretary (East) said, "He is my husband, he is my family... I support my family."

Asked if it was a political vendetta, she said that everyone knows why this is being done.

Priyanka and Robert hugged each other and planted a kiss in each other's cheek before coming out of the car outside the ED office in Jamnagar House at the mouth of the India Gate circle.

From there, she drove straight to her 10 Janpath residence of her mother Sonia Gandhi and then walked over to neighbouring AICC headquarters where Congress workers shouted slogans hailing her. "Priyanka you fight on, we are with you!"

She formally took charge and later met party workers.

Vadra's aide Jagdish Sharma alleged outside the ED office that the BJP government was carrying out a political vendetta against him.
